Large rooms, with good airconditioning. Parking was excellent and a reasonable price, although you must pre-book. The staff spoke good English and there was someone on reception 24 hours a day.
We did not get fresh towels throughout our stay.

The Aria staff went out of their way to assist me with getting money from an atm when the one close to the hotel wouldn't accept my card, as well as to providing me with an umbrella and cushion for the beach to save me the rental costs. They were very friendly and helpful. I stayed there for 5 nights at the beginning of my trip and after going to Italy, returned for my last night. I was undecided if I wanted to stay at a hotel closer to the airport since I had such an early flight, but I am so happy I chose to repeat my stay there. Would recommend to others and would stay there again.

Elevator was broken in the first day and I could not take my luggage to my room in the 4th floor and the hotel doesn't have staff to carry my luggage.

Good location for the train station... Just a short walk away, but best is that you are walking away from the "dodgy" loud parts around the train station... To a quieter neighborhood. As said by others, "The location is safe (and much quieter!) when compared to the places closer to the station." It is a bit of a walk to the beach - not a good place to stay if you want to go there every day... About 5 blocks north of some decent restaurants and bars - easy walk for dinner! A bit of a walk to the city center Tram, too... There are closer hotels, but they are more expensive. Tv, refrigerator, hairdryer, and most importantly, the air conditioning (climitasation) in the room all worked. I chose this hotel specifically because I needed air conditioning (hot night in nice) - and it worked great. No English or other language channels on tv... But lots of French channels. The wifi worked fine in the room and it was free, as advertised. The little, old elevator has character and it works (as long as people have not forgotten to manually close the door and it is not stuck on another floor)! Beds are comfortable enough. Got a good night's sleep!
I only stayed one night, so can't comment on housekeeping. There is a bathtub, with a moveable shower head you can put up on the wall, but there was no curtain. This seems to be a standard thing in France. The good thing is the bathroom is all tile, so if it gets wet... It gets wet. After the shower, the floor was wet. The breakfast... Another thing best avoided in French hotels. Go 1 block away and there is a great neighborhood grocery store: fresh quiche (still hot), bread, yogurt, fruit juice, fruit, etc... less than 6 Euro. Why would you pay 10 Euro for bread and coffee? Plenty of cafes nearby for a coffee... The Park: "a place where strange guys gather in the nights to play cards and drink" according to one guest. I didn't see that at night, but... A few guys sleeping it off in the park the next morning. Also nice old ladies walking their dogs... So stayed on that side of the park to eat my breakfast! Lastly, the reception personnel (man at night, woman in the morning): they are French, their attidude is typically French. Once you realize customer service is not a big thing here... They were fine. Sure they were talking on the phone... "Porquoi pas?" They gave me my key at night, gave me my bill in the morning... Got done what needed to get done.

It's easy to find from the Nice Ville train station, and while some streets in Nice feels dodgy this was not one of them. The reception staff were kind and helpful. The room I stayed in had a balcony with a view to the small park right opposite the hotel, which was lovely. Room facilities are decent; hair dryer, small fridge, air con, desk and chair, telly etc. The decor was a bit shabby, but somewhat had a cute character in it.

Great location. Easy to walk to/from train station, shopping, and restaurants. Room was quite clean. At this time of year (November) the Aria is an excellent value.
We booked what I guess is a "standard double" room, which was fine, but quite small. If one needs more space, consider booking one of the rooms in the front...they appear to be larger. Also, a shower curtain or enclosure of some type would make life easier for both the guest and the housekeeper.

Good place to stay for access to station and beach front
